My father used to give me rides in Aeroncas when I was less than 5 years old. After I discovered the straightedge at age 6 I began drawing airplanes. My favorite was the X15. This was followed by 10+ years of making flying model aircraft and rockets. At 15 I bought one of the first Rogallo-type hang gliders from California and brought it to the Midwest. I flew hang gliders for 10 years, graduating to the modern style flying wings and soaring at sites across the US, including California and Utah. From 1991 to 1996 I built my own aircraft, a Kitfox IV, and got my private pilot license. In 2006 I got my commercial and began working in aerial application. So, I have never, not wanted to fly.
Very good is what I can say. I came to Boraam Aviation after spending thousands of dollars at another, much more expensive, Chicago Executive airport flight school and miserably failing my instrument check ride. At that point I realized that they had been milking my wallet for all it was worth while providing sub-standard training. In a few weeks Marlon at Boraam Aviation figured out exactly what I needed, gave me the necessary training, and got me up to speed for my check ride, which went smoothly even though the day was very windy. I would not hesitate to recommend Boraam Aviation to those who want to learn to fly. You can pay a LOT more and get a LOT less at other schools. I know!
Flying is definitely not for everyone, but if you have an interest in it go for it. Getting the various pilot licenses is hard and you will be challenged in every way, academically included, but the rewards are great as are the people you will meet along the way. – Robert Beck
